Founded in 2019 by Anne Takahashi, TAKA PR and Communications is a boutique public relation, marketing and consulting agency based in New York City and specialized in publicity campaigns for theatrical releases, festival films, and award runs. Working with filmmakers as well as specialty studios, TAKA PR holds a unique position to formulate publicity campaigns that will attract both US buyers and international distribution. Prior to launching her own agency, Anne served as a regular public relation festival consultant for renown American agencies Cinetic Media, DDA PR, Hook Publicity, Darin Pfeiffer Event Consulting, and international agency Claudia Tomassini + Associates, where she led multiple campaigns including KUBI by Takeshi Kitano (Cannes Film Festival 2023), PASSAGES by Ira Sachs (Berlin Film Festival 2023), THE BREAKING ICE by Anthony Chen (Cannes Film Festival 2022), BOTH SIDES OF THE BLADE by Claire Denis (Berlin Film Festival 2022), DRIVE MY CAR by Ryusuke Hamaguchi (Best International Feature Oscar, 2022), CLOSE by Lukas Dhont (Grand Jury Prize, Cannes Film Festival 2022), TITANE by Julia Ducournau (Palme d’or, Cannes Film Festival 2021) and many more.
